is there a point to having pla and pegt

is there a point to having pla and PEGT I do a mix of functional prints that have more than one part, and I do some decorative prints I do like how PEGT is stronger, but am I missing something I will say the only time I had issues with PEGT was when I tried to print a box with a thing for the lid, but I may have done something wrong tho
