(QBOA Help) Intuit Just Told Me My Payroll Elite Is Absolutely Free -- So Confused

*Mods please remove if irrelevant*

Just looking for some guidance here from users in a sub who very likely will be able to assist me. About 8 years ago, when I was considering doing something with my business (business/marketing consulting -- non-accountant), I must have opened a QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) account (?) and helped a guy with his business sign up for Quickbooks. Since then, I hadn't worked with that client or even used Quickbooks. When I log into my account, I see he's listed as a "client" and that he has Quickbooks Essentials and I guess he's still paying for that to this day since it's "billed to the client." Again, I don't do any accounting work for this person since I'm not a bookkeeper or an accountant.

Anyway, fast-forward to today where I need to add my first employee to payroll. I logged in and was combing through my Intuit account and when I saw that my account subscriptions are Quickbooks Online Accountant Standard, QuickBooks Payroll Elite Full Service AC, QuickBooks Payroll Elite, Quickbooks Online Plus, Quickbooks Time. I haven't used or paid for any of these and when I reached out to customer service, they basically told me that my account was free and that my payroll was free as well.

I've just added my first employee to my payroll and everything looks normal. I'm very confused, so can someone help explain why an account I created 8 years ago warrants me receiving payroll and am I going to be charged at some point?
