How much different is retold to the original?

Hi there, I played this back when I was young and have some great memories playing this and I was wondering since it's coming to playstation how different is this to the original or is it just a fresh coat of paint and bug fixes. Looking forward either way but I was very curious if anything got changed or overhauled completely?
