Reverse the New Air Force Dress & Appearance Regulation Changes (1 February 2025)
I, as well as many others, think that the Air Force’s new dress and appearance regulations are a step backward, adding unnecessary burdens on Airmen while doing nothing to improve readiness or discipline. These changes will hurt morale, increase financial strain, and make recruitment and retention even worse—all at a time when the Air Force already struggles to keep people in.
I started this petition to back up letters I’m planning on sending to higher leadership and members of Congress. I’m not just here to complain—I’m trying to be proactive and make sure Airmen’s voices are heard in a respectful manner.
I know there will be people who will say (or think) “you’ll get in trouble for signing”—no, you won’t. Military members can sign petitions in a personal capacity as long as they’re not in uniform, using their rank, or engaging in partisan politics. There’s nothing wrong with voicing legitimate concerns about policies that directly impact the force.
With all that said, if you could please read the petition and consider signing, I would definitely appreciate it. Thank you. 🇺🇸
