Psychiatrist suggesting zolpidem for sleep issues due to anxiety. Advice required.

Hi all, I've been suffering from health anxiety for a long time now and recently started therapy and medications as well.

Consequently I have sleep issues too, I have become a very light sleeper with numerous awakenings at night. My psychiatrist first suggested clonazepam for this but then discontinued it and started melatonin 10mg. Since this change my sleep issues have gone back to what they were initially which I communicated with my doctor, now he's suggesting to take zolpidem 10mg.

I am frightened to take this medication, seems like one can have hallucinations from it, it's like a sedative as far as I can read through reddit. It can take control of my mind and I'm really afraid I may message someone or something idk when I've taken it. Im also afraid what if I won't be able to wake up when required in case of emergency due to such a strong medication.
