Does anyone else keep getting people way out of their radius on Grindr?

So I know this app has been in the gutter for a while now, but I keep randomly getting people 100-200 miles away in the middle of my grid. It’s super annoying, especially when they’re hot. Is this a built in function or just a weird location quirk?
