Dowry deaths and glorification of dowry

I just come across a video which was showing two sides of dowry in marriages, the groom in first side was refusing to take money from his father in law and it was shown as good choice. The groom in second side was shown taking suitcase full of money and this act was shown as bad in the video. But the comment section was so disappointing as men in comment section were saying the second one is going to be happy in future as he would have to pay alimony after divorce and first one is going to regret his decision and other some bs!!

Even tho dowry is illegal in india now but still around 95% of marriages include giving and taking of dowry(source in comment section) 20 women dies everyday due to dowry,found in a survey (source in comment section)

Even after such acts, many defend dowry with alimony!! I have seen a video of a guy defending dowry with 500k likes on it!!!🙆‍♀️

Can dowry and alimony be put on the same scale? Why can't we deal with both the problems differently?Why glorify one wrong for another? To some point alimony isn't wrong( situations like if husband forced his wife to leave his job) But what's need of glorification and defending dowry with alimony?? I really need some knowledge on these topics..
