Will I be able to keep my amputated leg?

Aš the title really.

I am due to have an amputation for my left leg below knee. It was due to trauma so there's no risk of infections etc.

I really want to keep it and use the bones to make something from it (possibly cast in resin and make a foot from it).

But is that allowed? And if so.... How would I go about stripping the leg of flesh as I'd just want the bone!
