I need to stop overspending!!

Please give me any tips you have for managing your finances/spending. My biggest problem is that I just will not modify my lifestyle based on how much money I have. I always have savings, so if I’m at the end of my paycheque but want to buy something, I’ll just transfer money out of my savings and buy it. My savings have dwindled an embarrassing amount, and I know that I’m living above my means and need to really change the way I approach spending. I really want to get my finances together this year. But when I want to order food or buy something, in that moment, I just don’t care. If I have money, I spend it. If I don’t have spending money, I think “well, I’ve already blown the budget so why not double down?” or “Well I need this thing so…”

I have a loose budget on my banking app, but seeing that I’ve gone over for a category does nothing to deter me. I transfer money into two savings accounts automatically every fortnight but almost always end up taking it out. I’ve seen the cash stuffing videos where people have little envelopes, but I just don’t see myself going to get cash out every fortnight, and I know I’ll still spend on my card and then just have random cash. A lot of places around me are cashless now too. I’ve deleted shopping apps from my phone which is a good start. I’ve tried to reduce my subscriptions. But that’s the extent of my ideas.

Has anyone figured out a system that helps? Or any little hacks or anything? Any tips are appreciated!
