book recommendations

I have played this game an absurd number of times, and while I don’t think I will ever grow tired of it, I do believe it’s time for a break.

That being said, I am curious if any of you have read a book or a series with characters that remind you of Gale, Astarion, Shadowheart, or Durge. I would even appreciate a book that just gives off a similar vibe as bg3 i.e. an epic fantasy full of adventure, found friends/family, trauma, etc.
