Hey guys I have been working hard on Boruto Kai. I know people wished that there was a kai version of Naruto, so fans made one, and many people have been wondering if there would ever be a Boruto Kai....Well....Since it doesn't seem like no one has been doing this, and since for some reason the people that made the Naruto Kai didn't include the openings and endings, and am scared they might not add those for the Boruto Kai, I decided to get a head start and make Boruto kai myself!! So here you go, Naruto/Boruto fans, I present Boruto Kai and in a really well edited format, with both openings and endings (more on that at the bottom of all this text)

AND IN BOTH SUB AND DUB!!!!!

That's right, both subbed and dubbed. I am doing both versions my self. Below are some important notes on everything regarding this big project. PLEASE READ THEM FIRST!

  1. I will be updating this post every time I start work on a new volume, and when a new Boruto Kai episode is released. I will also make other posts on reddit when I start a new volume and when I release a new Boruto Kai episode with the link to this post so you can all get it.
  2. This is an ongoing project. I have started it back at the start of the subbed Mujina Bandits Arc of the Boruto anime. and will be doing it till the Boruto series ends.
  3. I'm staying as true to the manga as possible. But am leaving in somethings that the anime did better (mostly the fights and some emotional moments) So with only a few minor changes here and there that the anime it's self did to scenes in the manga, and to little edits I did, id say that Boruto Kai will be around 98% identical to the manga.
  4. I have been painstakingly looking at each panel of the manga and through each frame of the anime and movies to make sure everything is as close as possible to the manga.
  5. Both subbed and dubbed versions of Boruto Kai will be identical to one another (or as close to it as possible, as in 99% identical) Remember that I am doing both at the same time and am editing them alone. The Japanese ones will obviously come out first, but the better polished one will be the English one (as I don't speak Japanese and am going off the subtitles.) But trust me I am making both have the same transitions, fades, effects, scenes, placements, order and so on. the only differences if any will just be maybe slight few seconds cut from one that didn't get cut on the other for whatever reason.
  6. Each Kai EP is between 40 MIN - 2 HOURS long and each EP is around 600MB (so they are not heavy) and each Ep includes intros and endings (more on that after the notes)
  7. The Last Naruto the Movie 3 Hour Cut, Naruto Kai vol 73, (Before any of you ask me to make those other ones in HD, it's a lot of editing and I work on many projects, so those are gonna be in SD for a long time)
  8. Boruto Kai Vol 1-3 is a complicated hybrid of the anime and movie, that best follow the manga as close as possible.
  9. This is NOT a simple "insert many episodes that adapt manga content into one lone video" project. I literally move scenes around, and remove many things that's not in the manga when possible. again this is literally 98% identical to the manga, it requires a lot of time and editing.
  10. Please be patient with Boruto Kai Dub, as the dub releases new eps every 3-4 months and is about 70 eps behind the sub.
  11. Naruto Kai Vol 73 has the Mitsuki origin Eps even though they were part of the first Boruto manga volume. This is simply because Mitsuki's origin takes place before Boruto graduates the academy. and I wanted to have it come chronologically.
  12. I do not plan on making a The Last: Naruto the Movie 3 Hour Cut in Subbed any time soon. But probably will once I take care of some other projects.
  13. I am planning to work on 3 other Naruto/Boruto projects which I will talk about at a later time when I have got a good section of those projects done.
  14. Watching Boruto Kai WONT give you the FULL story.
  15. Unlike Naruto Kai, Boruto Kai is NOT the best way to see the Boruto series and here is why. (Yes this is very important.)

So they are handling things differently in the Boruto series then they did for the Naruto series. Naruto was a weekly manga that had 15 pages a week that ran for 700 chapter and 15 years. They were really able to develop EVERYTHING in the Naruto manga. So Naruto Kai works because it removes the non-canon things, and you still get even development for every single character and backstory and plot. The only thing is Naruto Kai didn't include the canon novel adaptations the anime did or the canon anime arcs. But anyway, Naruto Kai works for the most part because the Naruto manga had time to develop everything.

But they also knew the Naruto anime had soooo much non-canon filler, this was to give the manga time to be ahead. Kishimoto was not really involved with the anime, just every now and then. Now in Boruto's case, they started planning Boruto during the war arc of the Naruto Shippuden anime. And they also planned how to tell the Boruto story so that it won't be stuck in non-canon fillers to let the manga be ahead.

So for Boruto Kishimoto (the creator of Naruto and Boruto) was supervising the manga, he gave plot points for Kodachi, the writer and let Kodachi write what ever he wanted as long as they included the story points Kishimoto gave him, and he asked his old assistant Ikemoto to do the art. Kishimoto was then set to supervises the manga and had to approve of everything in the manga. (Until chapter 51 which ended Vol 13 of the manga that is, because he had asked Kodach to write the manga for 13 volumes since he was also working on samurai 8 and other Boruto related things. So after chapter 51, Kishimoto is fully writing the Boruto manga and also supervising it.)

Also both Kishimoto and kodachi were made the supervisors for the Boruto anime from the very start and they both have to approve of everything the anime tells.

They decided to do this so the manga can be ahead while the anime doesn't get stuck in non-canon fillers.

The manga is monthly, and at 44 pages a month so the manga doesn't have a lot of time to focus on anything other than HIGHLIGHTS of the main plot points of the story. So it's only focusing on Naruto, Boruto, Kawaki, Jigen and karma and that's it. Boruto's team is barely in the manga and when they are, its very short and they don't get development, no one other than those I listed gets any big development. And the manga also like references things that people never see in the manga but do in the anime. Also the manga pulls out random abilities that characters didn't know many chapters before it. Like I said the manga is only showing HIGHLIGHTS of the main plot point so it can move the story very fast. Right now the manga is pretty far ahead and will soon be entering the time jump portion.

While the anime shows the FULL story, every big development for every character happens in the anime. The start is kinda slow cuz it's peace time, but as you watch it you see the characters mature and slowly learn how true ninjas were and what it means to be a ninja. Then when you get to the AO arc things begin to get darker and darker slowly. The anime is a slow burn but it's worth is because you see how Boruto grows, how he matures to the young adult Boruto we see in the flash forward scene at the start of ep 1 (and chapter 1 of the manga) and you only see him build that ideology in the anime. The anime also expands on manga arcs and fleshes them out and does them soooo much better. And it also adapts a lot of canon novels.

So yes the entire anime is canon to the manga and the manga to the anime. The manga is showing us what we will get and what to expect in the anime and where the story is going.

The reason why I don't suggest focusing on Boruto Kai is because I'm making it 98% identical to the manga. So all the faults the manga has, Boruto Kai does as well. Plus it's long wait times for Boruto Kai eps due to how often the anime adapts manga content (which really fluxuates....from every month to every like 11 months)

So you don't get to see the FULL story in the manga and Boruto kai.

There are filler eps in Boruto, but again they are all CANON, not non-canon.

To give an example of what the anime does that the manga doesn't, the manga starts the story during Boruto's chunin exams. The anime starts when Boruto enters the academy. The first arc of the anime focuses on Boruto learning about his dojutsu, the Jougan, which in the manga we only see in the flash forward scene, and on chapter 55 but in a different way in chapter 55 (no spoilers) and the anime doesn't reach the chunin exams till ep like 60 I think. The second manga arc isn't adapted till ep like 147 something I think. But again soooo much stuff happens.

So ya to really see the full story for Boruto you'd need to see the full anime.

Again I suggest watching the full anime, and reading the manga as it comes out. Leave Boruto kai as a bonus thing

Work has now started on Boruto Kai Vol 18 SUB, however keep in mind the anime is now on a long break and we do not know when it will return or how soon they will get back to adapting the manga content, which means we do not know when the rest of volume 18 will be adapted.

The dub eps take a while to come out. So please be patient! Remember, new boxsets for the dub is out every 3-4 months with 13-15 eps!
