What’s your cat bathing routine?

Edit: GOT IT. Won’t bathe her regularly. Can people please answer the last part of the post? She still had fleas and tapeworms and will still probably need to be bathed at some point in her life. I’m a first time pet/cat owner so some understanding would help. Thank you to those who answered the question or explained why cats aren’t bathed regularly. I honestly didn’t know, sorry. :/

We are just about to give our kitty her first bath after taking her home two weeks ago. She’s had fleas and tapeworms since we got her from the rescue and those are finally all taken care of, so it needs to be done.

We will likely need to bathe her somewhat regularly as I am discovering I have cat allergies and possibly developing allergic asthma. I’m not sure yet how she will react, but she is pretty young (under two years) so she may adapt to it over time.

For those that need to bathe their kitties regularly, what is your routine? How do you get them used to being bathed and reduce stress during the experience? Any tips and advice appreciated. Thanks!
