How to learn Chinese more proficient?

I have currently been learning Mandarin from 7-8th grade at school and I am now a freshman. I want to get way ahead in Chinese so my AP is easy. I have currently been using the Refold 1k word deck on anki. I am around 170 words in so far 60 mature. Does anyone recommend I do anything else or change my deck to something else? Just basically any resources or studying tools I can use everyday
