What Does being a DJ mean to you ???

Hi first post and it's a lil dumb but i've just been wondering.

i feel like a lot of us have a different idea of what a DJ is while at least when i was teen it was about knowing all the tracks, finding shit ppl didn't have, blending stuff ppl never blended before and overall just being a crazy vibe selector but i feel like like ppl either think it's stupid to dig or look past digital stuff or what's cool. it's like weren't around when like it meant something 2 b a DJ (not that it meant shit to begin with but all the old heads were like no u gotta be good before u hit that floor 2 me)

.not to discredit anyone's philosophy or anything or say my archaic thought pattern is is right or just babble but what does being a DJ MEAN to you? like spiritually, like work wise like digging wise, like what do u need to do to be valid?? what makes you a part of this bizarre craft?? esp if u have DJ in ur name
