Wildstone Code Terra - Attar in disguise

After seeing all the hype around Wildstone Terra, I decided to order it from Amazon and give it a shot. It arrived yesterday, and here’s my take on it.

They claim it has earthy notes, but honestly, the opening is nothing but a blast of citrus—no earthy or fresh elements whatsoever. In fact, it smells very similar to the attar my grandfather used to wear. If that’s what you like, great! But if you're expecting something modern and refined, this might not be it.

Right now, it’s selling for around ₹1100 on Flipkart, but honestly, instead of this, I’d suggest going for Fattan (haven’t tried it myself, but it gets a lot of love here).

At this point, I feel like I’ve lost hope in budget fragrances in India. Whenever my relatives bring entry-level perfumes from Canada or the UK, they always smell so much better—no attar-like or headache-inducing vibes.

Is this what being a Vishwaguru means? Just repackaging old attar DNAs in fancy bottles and calling it a premium fragrance? Where’s the innovation?

Would love to hear your thoughts! Have you found any good budget fragrances in India that actually stand out? Are Fattan and Hawas really worth trying?
