Nicky knows it’s his Dad, so if he lives then everyone else knows, and we’re back to the problem of Miami Metro homicide having had a child killer cop, and it never got mentioned during the Bay Harbor butcher investigation.

Or for strange reason, Nicky decides not to tell anybody or forgets because of the trauma; that would seem a little lame.

I guess in either scenario Dexter can make him “disappear”, with everyone thinking he’s a fugitive or a victim, and then put him on the table.

The other option is Nicky doesn’t make it, but this would be a cold-blooded show if it killed another kid.
