Thoughts on "Skeptics"
It's wild to me that there are still so many people out there who don't even accept the reality of the phenomenon, whatever it is. Comment sections full of people saying it's Starlink or Satellites. When the witnesses are military and commercial pilots describing instantaneous acceleration and 90° turns and dead stops and shit. It's like these people have a vested interest in the phenomenon not being real. Having witnessed it for myself on multiple occasions, that shit drives me crazy. Like I always say: If you haven't experienced the phenomenon for yourself, it is not in your place to comment on it. And even worse, so many of those people are the same people who shit on religion and say it holds science back. "They want to get left behind that's fine but science will continue to move on with or without them" and all that shit. Now here it is, a new frontier of science, and they're denying it like the fundamentalists deny evolution. I understand that, given this new chaotic chapter, there must be some disinfo bots and agents planted in these forums, but I know a number of these people personally. Oddly enough, most of them are scientists. They'll even go as far as acknowledging that they believe I really saw what I described to them, but they refuse to discuss the possibilities of what it could've been.
"I'm sure there's a rational explanation."
"Like what?"
"I don't know..." *shrugs and changes subject
Where in the scientific method does it say to just ignore legitimate data you don't like? I'll say to them what they say to religious people: You don't want to accept the truth, that's your fucking problem.
