Do you wear perfume that your significant other doesn't like?

I know this is gonna get a ton of responses about how fragrances should just be worn for yourself but let's be real, we want other people to think we smell good too.

I'm currently really liking Burberry Her but my fiance doesn't like it (says the EDP smells powdery and like an old lady 🙄) so now I'm wondering if it's worth buying a bottle. I'm probably still gonna get it, but I'm wondering if you all have let another person's opinion on a perfume affect how you wear it?
