Just watched for the first time. Season 3 was disturbing

Hey everyone. Just finished from for the first time and I have so many opinions, first of all, the differences between seasons 1&2 when compared to 3 are just wild. First 2 seasons was more like “we are trapped in a town where monsters come out at night, supernatural stuff going on, we gotta get out”, then season 3 was just disturbing. A guy got his eye gouged out and some evil pregnancy made some blood monster grow inside some cave. Maybe I noticed the difference more because I watched all seasons in just a few days, but season 3 was just a completely different vibe. Also I feel like some parts of the writing didn’t make sense, like what do you mean the bus driver heard the nursery rhyme as a child. What kind of nursery rhyme says “they come, they break, they steal. No one here is free”?
