Here’s My Idea for an Atreus Standalone Game and the Next God of War Sequel.

A few years after Ragnarok (Atrues Story)

Okay, hear me out. If Atreus gets his own game, it shouldn't be called God of War. Something like God of Mischief, perhaps? Basically, it's his story, not Kratos. The idea is this. Curious about his dad's past, Atreus travels to Greece to learn where Kratos came from and what happened after he left.

With all the gods dead, it's ruled by demigods, mythical creatures, or even corrupt humans trying to fill the power vacuum. Atreus is still young, so it makes sense for him to fight enemies like that and not full-on gods but still big enough threats for him.

Along the way, Athena's ghost could show up to manipulate things (classic Athena), and we'd get some super emotional moments like Atreus meeting Calliope (his half-sister) and Deimos (Kratos brother) in the Underworld. Imagine Atreus learning about messages they left for Kratos, and it would hit hard. The whole theme could be about rebuilding. Kratos rebuilt the Norse world after destroying Greece, and now Atreus is fixing Greece after leaving the Norse world.

The game could end with Atreus solving things in Greece and heading off to explore another mythology, like Egypt (shoutout to Tyr for the inspiration).

Where It Leads Next (Kratos Story)

Fast forward a few years, and Kratos hears Atreus is in trouble in Egypt. Probably, he did something he shouldn't. The gods there are still alive, super powerful, and way out of Atreus' league. So Kratos leaves Freya in charge of the Norse realm and heads to Egypt to help his son. Since Kratos has been there before (in the comics), he knows the place.

Now we get Kratos and an older, more battle-hardened Atreus teaming up to take on the Egyptian gods. Father and son are back together again, but they're equals in the fight this time. (Respect wise, not strength or experience)

I had this idea while taking a shower and thought of sharing lol. What do you guys think?
