Shows logic
Hot take, bu the shows logic is plain stupid. First, calling exorcising hell “heartless” is plain stupid. Lilith literally inspired the sinners to rise aganst heaven, which puts the winners in danger.
“But op, hell does not pose a danger to heaven” Yeah, there is no danger because the serpent is being killed before it hatches. There is no uprising because the uprisings are suppressed before they begin. Though sinners cannot usually hurt angels, they have powers that can still hit them and knock them around, trap them, etc.
Next, Emily calling the sinners “innocent people” is peak brainrot. Just take a look at Valentino. He is the scum of the earth. He clearly deserves to die. Also, pretty much every other sinner presented to us causes distruction and meyham everywhere they go, they set up vending machines that dispense crack, they eat each other and ruin the lives of other sinners less fortunate than them. Yeah, some people are redeemable, but they are few and far between. Adam has every good reason to genocide these fuckers.
The part where. Charlie shows the angels that Angel can be redeemed is also logically flawed. He only did something good once. You have to keep doing that many, many times to outweigh your sins.
These exorcisms also can do good for hells residents. Imagine if, for example Adam pulverized Valentino. That would make angels life 10 times better.
Adam suffers from what is known as the “John Walker Effect” He is the most entertaining character in the show, and does more good than bad in the grand scheme of things.
The show tries to paint itself as one of those deep shows, that explore its characters and show that there are two sides to every story, But it’s really not. For a show like this, the villains have to be more nuanced, but they are all one note, always evil. I wish we could explore Adam and how he ended up this way, what caused Alastor to walk down this path, who Vox is deep down inside
It’s as if Vivziepop cannot write for shit or something.
I rest my case
