Thoughts on Heretic? *Spoilers*

I just watched Heretic finally and was kind of disappointed. I kept waiting for it to get weird or interesting and the dialogue was like getting lectured by some religious studies student in a forum discussion. The performances were great however.

And at the final reveal of the "one true religion" as "control"...I just rolled my eyes at that point. Feel like they really squandered something that could have made for an interesting movie premise.
