Is it possible to solo Kenshi ?

(Sorry, my english is approximative) Im a new player of the game (≈1 week) and i like it. I have seen that its possible to create a team by recruiting NPC. But i dont want to play like that. I would rather try to be a kind of "lonely wanderer" and do all the things that are possible to do with anobody else than me Can you tell me if you think that it is possible ? And do yo have any advice? Thank you
