It doesn’t surprise me that they have ability and tools to actually try to cast people they know are mature, decent humans who are likely to connect or are compatible (Exhibit A - Garrett was likely handpicked for Taylor) but I feel that they are now purposely casting outrageous characters for good TV.
LIB US S7 was an example of the two extremes where we got Leo & Brittney and Taylor and Garrett.
