Madewell is now fast fashion?

I am a broke girl recently in my first job. This Black Friday I wanted to use my adult money to buy quality clothes from madewell and it has been a journey… They had a 40% off everything sale the week before Black Friday that turned into 50% Thanksgiving weekend. I bought 2 shirts for 40% off and tried to return them and rebuy them for the difference after Thanksgiving to get $20 back. $20 is $20. No worries.

HOWEVER, I return to the store out of curiosity last week and select items are 50% off including sale and the “new arrivals” items I just bought were already on sale. By then, I had taken the tags off so the store wouldn’t refund me even though I had the receipts and tags. Why is a store that usually has 2 sales a year having back to back sales every 5 days with products moving to clearance so quickly? I got some shoes and realized they were too big and returned today and another shirt I bought was now on sale and I could’ve spent $20 less… makes me not want to go there anymore and makes me debate the quality of the clothes if they cycle through so fast. I felt like I was in Zara.
