is lipgloss always this sticky?

i really like the way lipgloss looks and i’d love to wear some. but every time i’ve tried it, it’s been unbearably sticky and heavy on my lips, triggering sensory issues. could this be because i don’t spend enough money on high quality lipgloss? i spent about 5€ on the last one i bought (which was called a lip oil tbf, but felt more like lipgloss to me). or is all lipgloss like this and i haven’t got a chance? i’d love to find one that looks good, but also doesn’t feel like i put glue on my lips. thanks in advance!
