Ginger is a slur?!

Just watched episode 8 where Clint and Gina got into a fight about him preferring 'slim' women, and he tries to flip the switch and say that she called him a Ginger and how deeply offensive that is 😂😭 Please correct me if I'm wrong but in what world is that offensive? I was dying laughing in that scene she looked so annoyed too.
