Those Android head units are not that bad

After doing some research, I decided to go with a new Android head unit. Snagged one from eBay for under $300 after some discounts. Installing was simple, mostly plug and play. All the buttons for A/C and multimedia work perfectly. Even the steering wheel buttons work out of the box.

If you're in the market for one, go for it. IMO the most important things when buying these Chinese head units is looking for the actual hardware, since their softwares are eating resources a bit. I got one with 6GB of RAM, 64GB HDD and 7862s CPU so plenty of power to run basic tasks, also look for something with DSP chip for better audio quality. Everything works as smooth as an iPad.

Not sure how long it will last though, but for 1/3 the cost of a Dynavin unit, I'm really happy with the purchase.
