Advice Please
Afternoon, I'm having an early mid-life crisis at 38 (or maybe im just a bit bored) but either way...I'm looking to buy a Ford Mustang Bullitt as a second car. I really just want it as a bit of a fun summer car to drive about with, and will be keeping my main daily driver for going to work and shopping etc. I won't be doing high mileage at all in it (maybe a few thousand max) and will likely be covering it and keeping it nice over the winter months. I'm in the UK, and looking right now I have a few options. There is a high mileage one at 80,000 miles which is going for under £30,000. It looks like a bargain - looking at the car history, it seems to have been serviced every year by Ford but there are a few advisories that the oil was below minimum at times. All the other models for sale at the moment are £40k+, so its quite a significant jump in price for a lower mileage model. I've basically got two choices...I can go and look at this car and potentially buy it, or I could wait until April/May this year when I'll have more money (work bonus) and could stretch my budget potentially to £35k. My heart is kinda getting excited and jumping at the idea of buying the higher mileage model now, but my brain is saying to wait. I suppose my questions are 1) What would you do? and 2) is there any issue with buying a higher mileage car? In the UK the cars are a bit different to the US ones (e.g. they have a GPF). Thanks in advance.
