Has anyone ever used Amazon knock off controllers for a shell swap?

Seems like it could be a fun project hahaha.

Has anyone ever ordered a knock off/dupe pro controller and/or joycons and then switched the shells on the knock offs to whatever color you want?

I figured it could be fun to try with cheaper controllers instead of the legit ones just in case I make a mistake and accidentally break something while swapping the shells. Less pressure for sure!
