What’s a modern convenience that people in the future might find ridiculous?
Every generation looks back at old technology and habits and wonders, “How did people ever live like that?” We used to have to memorize phone numbers, print out MapQuest directions, and wait for our computers to stop screeching before getting online. Now, all of that seems laughably outdated.
So what’s something we use today that future generations will think is totally ridiculous? Maybe gas-powered cars, since everything might be electric (or better yet, self-driving)? Physical charging cables, because wireless power could be everywhere? Maybe even typing on keyboards—what if people just think their words onto a screen instead?
Or what if it’s something more subtle, like how we pay for bottled water when we could have unlimited clean water? Or how we waste time in grocery stores when AI could just restock our kitchens automatically?
What’s something that feels totally normal to us now, but will probably make future people shake their heads and say, “Wow, I can’t believe they actually did that.
