Did anyone really got monetization back after appeal?

So my channel got removed from YPP and in these days i'm going to create the video that they are asking to prove that everything that i do is mine and the effort that i put in my videos is real. But i have a doubt. Do they really give monetization back when deserved or is just a way to give a "last hope" to people?
