Accept Deskari 's Challenge Quest Bugged - Deskari not appearing?

I fought Deskari and got him down to about a quarter health before he zipped off. I got some other quests in the Heart of the Fallen Land. Deskari does not appear on the map and I can't leave Iz. Am I perma-fucked or is there something I am missing?
