Off the plan - fixed price offer

Hiya

Not sure if this post is allowed - please remove if not.

So my partner and I have purchased an off the plan turn key home from Mike Greer. Expected completion date around Q3 2022 (looking more like Q4 tbh). The timing is not an issue for us but we have been seeing a number of FHB getting screwed over because of increase in cost/materials etc. and then being slammed with an extra 50k or so on top of the fixed price offer in order to complete the build.

I've looked through my contract to double check that there is nothing in there for the developer that allows a change in pricing. I will also be asking our solicitor about this too but just wondering if there would be a chance we would run into this some time down the line? Or are turn-keys typically safe from this?

Thanks in advance!
