I lost my sweet boy
33 days ago I made a post about my dog Snickers. He had stopped eating and was lethargic. A blood test revealed 3rd stage chronic kidney failure at age 8. We tried the 4 day hospitalization followed by IV fluids at home. He rallied for about 3 weeks, then stopped eating again last week. A blood test revealed he had slipped back into late stage 3/early stage 4. We just couldn’t watch him suffer anymore, so yesterday, we had to put him down.
I have been crying non stop and don’t know how to move on. Snickers was a bright light in our lives…..always smiling, always underfoot and a real clown. His Sister, Paris, will not get out of bed (I don’t blame her). They were a truly bonded pair and all I can do is hold her and soak her with my tears. We will miss him forever. Rest in peace my sweet boy.
