What’s up with the rent situation in town?!
Kinda venting kinda seeking advice - been looking for a few weeks now (apartment/complexes specifically) and rent at most places is absolutely atrocious. Reviews online seem to vary between misleading and outright bad. Did myself the displeasure of touring the RED (and many many others) and they are the perfect example (and naturally the most expensive one) for what’s wrong with most complexes here. It’s a nice complex don’t get me wrong. But it still doesn’t offer much more than standard things like a decent gym and a pool and manage to up charge at every corner regardless ($75/month for parking at home anyone??). To each their own but base rent over $2500 for a two bed to live in a city that isn’t exactly the cultural heartbeat of the US is criminal.
I’m really baffled by this, I lived on the SoCal coast for less with more amenities. And in Portland. But Reno somehow can’t get a single complex that manages to offer some maintenance, decent management, prices in line with the incomes in town, and some amenities. Happy to be proven wrong…
Thanks for letting me vent and for reading, I am just exhausted by looking for what appears to be a complete unicorn out here.
