WTF is up with licensing??????

What is up everyone,

I am somewhat loosing my mind trying to figure out MECM pricing. I am comparing this and attempting to get quotes, because my new job needs a solution and I am comparing Quest KACE against SCCM. I have been working with SCCM for about six years and feel comfortable with it but other sites are using KACE and we have to entertain that. I know I am going with MECM Datacenter, but what the hell are these ML's, and OSE limitations. Our rep is giving me client licensing on MECM Datacenter, what confuses me is the client licensing. I am asking for any of you that purchased licensing what is the approach. I saw in a few of the older post someone was saying ML's are just Microsoft licenses. So all clients are licensed through KMS and we have vCenter environment with all of our servers checking in there as well. I am a little tired and irritated that I can't get a good answer from our software licensing agent. To anyone how did you deal with the client licensing is this just Microsoft licenses?

If it is incoherent rambling let me know I will level up on some coffee and rewrite. Searching for licensing and getting inconsolably irate has depleted all my brain cells.

Update: scrolling through our Microsoft Business account and I found license keys for MECM so I am guess it is some how bundled in items we already bought. P.S. I am hella confused I have been with this place for the last few months and the environments I have been in to here is a big shift, the tech is the easy part it's learning the new processes.
