Wanted to see the immediate aftermath of last season's events. Anyone else mildly disappointed?

I love the show, the best I've seen in a while. And liked this episode.

But I hate this trope where the season ends on a very intense cliffhanger and we don't see the immediate aftermath of it in the 1st episode.

I want to see Devon's reaction, did she get the message?? Did Burt open the door? Did he recognize Irv? What happened at the Gala when Helly said those things? Show me!! In the first fucking episode!

Expected this show to not follow that trope, but I guess that was too high an expectation.

Solid opener nonetheless.

Hope we get to see the Outie's world next episode.
