How safe is Zostel volunteering for girls?

I’ve been looking for such opportunities for a long time, something where I can stay in a place I love while working remotely. Recently, I got an opportunity from zostel in a location I was interested in, but I’m unsure about the safety aspect.
A few concerns I have:

• The confirmation was sent to me via WhatsApp, which didn’t seem very professional. As a solo female traveler, I feel the need to be extra cautious.
• I’m not sure what the actual experience is like—how safe is it in terms of accommodation, work environment, and overall stay?
