Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk II performs essential duties related to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Resident Trust. This role involves preparing and submitting invoices, retrieving and reviewing data, following up on unpaid accounts, and preparing monthly journal entries. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including patients, clients, vendors, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and submit invoices for services provided to patients/residents/clients. - Retrieve data from specialized information systems and review for completeness and accuracy. - Follow up on unpaid accounts and prepare monthly journal entries. - Process vendor invoices and road ambulance claims. - Maintain resident trust fund accounts for long-term care facilities. - Analyze vendor invoices in accordance with policies and general accounting principles. - Prepare monthly reports and assist in preparing audit working paper files. - Maintain filing systems and perform other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications: - Completion of a recognized/approved two-year Business Administration program with a specialization in Accounting, supplemented by one year of accounting experience within the last three years, OR a three-year Business Management program specializing in Accounting. - Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). - Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to meet strict timelines. - Strong organizational skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently. - Effective communication skills and strong customer service orientation. - High degree of accuracy in work produced. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel and Word. - An Excel score of 60% is required; a basic Excel test may be administered. - A satisfactory record of work performance.

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a healthcare setting. - Familiarity with accounting software.

Salary and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $24.54 - $27.16 per hour.
