only 2 cashiers scheduled to close?

For the past 5 Saturday’s I’ve been scheduled to close, there’s only been 1 other cashier working with me. the lines are usually super long but get even longer when one of us goes on break/close self checkout at 9 and are told we need to send guests to guest services instead (we usually don’t have any cashier backup available). is this normal for any other store bc im starting to dread clocking in lmao
