TX District Sounds Alarm Over Border Patrol Bus Raids
A South Texas school district is warning parents that U.S. Border Patrol agents may be checking the immigration status of students as they participate in extracurricular activities. On Wednesday, the Alice Independent School District sent out a letter alerting parents that agents may be boarding school buses to question students about their citizenship status.
If a student is not carrying identification or other documents to show they are in the country legally, the Superintendent said "they may be removed from the bus, detained, and possibly deported."
Apparently, Border Patrol is so bored or so hard up to meet their quotas that they are going to raid school buses. How many students carry proof of citizenship on them? I sure as hell never did.
