Question about conference time

I have been leaving or going to my car to plan during my conference/lunch time because it’s a chance for me to get away to somewhere quiet and plan away from distractions. However our assistant principal believes things like this is a red flag, she assumes I am going home or to a restaurant and “chilling” instead of working. Now she has our principal agreeing that if we are leaving at all then it’s a red flag and we aren’t doing our job. I’m just sad cause I really enjoyed my quiet planning time.

My neighbor teacher tries to constantly get me to watch his students during my planning period. I tell him no or turn off the lights and “hide out” but it gets tiresome and the lounge is always busy. I guess it’s just a rant but I’m tired y’all. I do my best but it’s been a long week with my middle schoolers.
