Insurance coverage for body contouring
Has anyone here gotten approval from insurance for lipotransfer? I'm MTF and my insurance says they cover body contouring but I got denied as "The information we have does not show existing appearance differs significantly from that of the experienced gender."
**EVEN THOUGH**:
I sent a letter to them signed by my surgeon that says "by my assessment, her existing appearance varies significantly from that of her experienced gender."
Does anyone here work in insurance or know how I could get them "evidence" more than my surgeon's letter? They told me to file another grievance ... the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. So I'm trying to figure out what was missing - everything else was in there.
FWIW - I have Anthem BCBS insurance and they follow MCG guidelines GG FMMF.
