Facility is Going on a Huge Strike

First time traveling and wanted to know what should be expected with compensation for strike pay. Is there a minimum amount that is acceptable? See, I signed a contract and now the facility I work at is going on strike. The rate the agency is paying contractors is $60/hr base, unclear of the OT rate and holiday pay at this time. I know we should not "cross the picket line" and I completely understand what why they're striking for but, I came along way from home to work. Huge sacrifices were made to be in this position. Basically, I have to work. I am concerned about my security with entering the work place. Should I be escorted inside with security? What kind of working conditions should I expect? I don't believe in accepting unsafe assignments just because there's a strike going on outside. How should I navigate this situation?
