Trigger Finger Open Release Surgery

Hi All,

I have been suffering from trigger finger for a while now in my right hand ring finger. I received 2 steroid injections earlier in the year which sadly did not alleviate the symptoms and I now have a lump at the base of the finger which is causing a lot of pain. I am booked in to get open trigger finger release surgery at the end of January and I am scared! 😅 especially after stupidly googling it and seeing the wounds/stitches people have. As I am right handed I am worried about any complications. Can anyone that’s had this surgery give me some reassurance and also any tips for recovery?
