Having dreams where I'm talking to Jesus, just my imagination or could it be him?

I've been having a few dreams lately where I talk to Jesus briefly. One where he was talking to me over text which was strange and another where he was just the outline of his body in a white void. Another he was talking to me through a book where text appeared on the book and I was telling people in the dream I'd recorded his message with my camera.

In these dreams I'm either being warned of sins or shown some kind of message that I can't interpret and barely remember once the dream ends. The feeling I get in the dreams is always that of awe and a feeling of 100% certainly in his existence in the moment.

Are these just my imagination? I'm very apprehensive about taking the dreams seriously as I have no way of discerning whether it's just made up in my head or actually him. Is there anything in the scriptures for how to properly discern a dream or its message, and or whether it's authentically God.

Side note: I also had a sleep paralysis episode earlier in the year where I saw multiple ancient looking eyes in my room and a voice telling me to focus on the book of Job. Could this be something as well?
