Being a felon in America fucking sucks

I got popped for burglary when I was 20 and now that I'm "reformed" and 41 years old I still can't get any decent job. I am basically stuck working in a low paying factory job. Every job requires a background check. I've made it through 3 interviews at a job just to be ghosted over the background check. I'm glad I got my rights to vote back but I still can't own or even be near a gun or it's another felony and an automatic 5 years. It sucks.
