We met online and talked for about a week. I was clear from the beginning that I wasn’t interested in dating anyone with active addiction or who aligns with MAGA values. That’s just not what I want around me. He swore that neither of those applied to him. So we’re discussing setting up a first date to meet IRL. He said he would have to make sure he didn’t get drunk so he could drive home after. I asked what he meant and said getting drunk on a first date is a red flag for most people.
