boyfriend fingered me in my sleep

Last night, I woke up to my boyfriend’s fingers inside me. I was so shocked that he would be touching me in my sleep because he’s such a respectful person and always asks for consent when we do anything sexual.

I immediately started kicking him and shoving him away from me because I was so disgusted. He stopped doing it but he kept trying to cuddle, so I kept kicking him away from me. He fell asleep and woke up a couple hours later (about 3 AM). He started giving me shit for kicking him in the middle of the night. I was so taken aback because he was LITERALLY fingering me while I was asleep, so I thought it was appropriate to kick him and get him off me.

This is where it gets weird. He has no recollection of fingering me at all. When I told him he had been fingering me and that’s why I kicked him, he immediately got mad at himself and super apologetic. He didn’t remember doing anything and thought he had just woken up to me kicking him. He got out of bed and went and slept on the ground because he was so disgusted with himself. He kept apologizing and i eventually told him to get back in the bed with me.

This morning was rather awkward when we were getting ready for work. He still stood by not knowing he had fingered me and that he woke up to me kicking him. But I honestly don’t know how to feel. He’s such a good guy and I’d like to think he wouldn’t do this while I was sleeping. Has anyone ever had something like this happen?
